Primary Objective of Position:

Responsible for handling all food, storage and cleaning activities in accordance with sanitary procedures and standards and complies with all federal, state and local regulatory procedures regarding food storage, cleaning and preparation. Responsible for performing various kitchen cleaning and storage activities. Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards using machine and manual cleaning methods.

Job Duties:

• Clean dishes, pots, kitchen, food preparation equipment, and utensils.
• Responsible for general and equipment cleaning.
• Maintains kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
• Sorts and removes trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
• Sweeps and scrubs floors.
• Fills/empties soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
• Fills sanitizer buckets.
• Sets up or breaks down dishwashing area.
• Notifies immediate supervisor anytime dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
• Cleans and prepares various foods for cooking or serving.
• Loads or unloads trucks that deliver or pick up food and supplies.
• Receives and stores supplies.
• Sets up banquet tables.
• Stocks supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, refrigerators, and salad bars.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using trucks.
• Stores and rotates food and supplies.
• Responsible for janitorial duties in kitchen and restaurant area.
