 Primary Objective of Position:
 
 Primarily responsible for preparing food and maintaining kitchen sanitation to Health Department standards.
 
 
Job Duties:
 
 
  - 
   Adheres to company standards for guest service.
 
  - 
   Prepares and arranges food according to company’s recipes, nutrition philosophy, and quality of presentation.
 
  - 
   Continually updates knowledge of company recipes, food preparation and food presentation.
 
  - 
   Labels, day dots, rotates and stores all food items.          
 
  - 
   Stores and handles food properly, following Health Department requirements.
 
  - 
   Reports and documents any observed or known safety hazards, conditions or unsafe practices and procedures to management immediately.
 
  - 
   Ensures all stocks are kept under optimum conditions.
 
  - 
   Ensures any anticipated shortages are communicated promptly to production chef or head chef on duty.
 
  - 
   Ensures that all mise en place is always freshly prepared and on time.
 
  - 
   Cleans kitchen as directed.
 
  - 
   Trains staff members as directed.
 
  - 
   Reports and documents any observed or known safety hazards, conditions or unsafe practices and procedures to management immediately.
 
  - 
   Performs other job related duties as directed.
 
  - 
   Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of the position.
 
  - 
   Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate conducive to employee morale, productivity, efficiency and effectiveness.

                Requirements
                
                
                    
                        
 Qualifications & Skills:
 
 
  - 
   Minimum of 2 years’ experience of food preparation, preferably in a high volume restaurant
 
  - 
   PM Availability A MUST!
 
  - 
   Aptitude for guest service and takes pride in company’s standards of excellence in food preparation and cleanliness
 
  - 
   Ability to work in stressful situations
 
  - 
   Frequent bending and stooping
 
  - 
   Works indoors 100%

   Works varied shifts, including weekend and holidays
